I refuse to specialize. I love budgets and numbers, but also obscure works of art. I enjoy foodie food and food from a truck. I am a comedy nerd but love depressing music. I've lived happily everywhere from rural Arkansas and academic Oxford to a California community of fifty and in the bustle of New York.
My epitaph might read: He wore it as a badge of honor to not be the best in his field, but make his field better.
As a multimediat journalist I take this refusal of narrowness accross disciplines and platforms. I write spot stories and long form. I cover business and the arts, sports and politics. I produce audio and multimedia for the web. And I explore ways to connect with disadvantaged populations that are not being reached by legacy media.
