Oliver Haas

I believe in change. I believe in the power of passion, design and social enterprise. I believe in making a positive difference in the world. My name is Ollie and I am currently a student at the Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering (http://www.olin.edu) in the Greater Boston Area (MA, USA), originally from Austria and Uganda. I am interested in the application of design thinking and social entrepreneurship to solving problems and realizing opportunities in international development and environmental sustainability. I am fascinated by the dawn of the digital era in developing nations and about the role that mobile phones and the internet will play in global sustainable development. My most recent design experiences include an internship at the design consultancy and global innovation firm frog design (http://www.frogdesign.com) and a fellowship at the Uganda-based innovation and design firm, Appfrica (http://www.appfrica.com).
