Olivet University
Biblical Higher Education in Anza, California
Olivet University is a private Christian institution dedicated to preparing students for leadership, ministry, and service. Founded in 2000 as the Olivet Theological College & Seminary (OTCS), the school began with a mission to train believers for global ministry through academic study and spiritual formation. OTCS quickly grew, serving students worldwide through diverse programs and distance learning, becoming a foundation for what is now a leading institution in biblical higher education.
In 2004, guided by the late Dr. Ralph D. Winter, the institution transitioned into Olivet University with a renewed vision to create a “sanctuary of truth” where faith, knowledge, and practical experience could work together. Since then, Olivet has remained committed to shaping servant-leaders who combine academic excellence with a strong spiritual purpose.
The university’s main campus in Anza Valley, California, provides a peaceful setting for reflection and study. Here, students are encouraged to explore their calling, deepen their understanding of Scripture, and grow in wisdom. Beyond Anza, Olivet has expanded to several key cities, including Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay Area, St. Louis, Orlando, Nashville, and Washington, D.C., extending its reach and influence across the United States.
Faith is an essential part of daily life at Olivet University. Students regularly gather for chapel, prayer, and small group Bible studies that strengthen both their faith and community. Service is also a vital part of the Olivet experience, with students volunteering at food drives, community events, and local charities. Each act of service reflects the university’s belief that learning is most meaningful when it is lived out through compassion and action.
Over the years, Olivet University has continued to grow, celebrating milestones such as its twentieth anniversary in 2024. Faculty and students have been recognized for their achievements in academics, art, and community service, all of which contribute to the university’s enduring mission. Professors serve not only as educators but as mentors, helping students integrate faith into every aspect of their studies and future careers.
Olivet University remains a place where faith and education intersect with purpose. Its vision remains clear to equip men and women who will serve God, lead with integrity, and make a lasting difference in the world.
