Book review: Lord of the flies was a really enticing book when I first picked up that book I didn't want to put it back down. It was very entertaining, and there were not very many boring sections and it was a quick read. The plot was well organized and well thought out/written, the book has been criticized for only having male characters on the island but I believe that it is good with just males because it really shows how savage boys can be when put into that situation if there were females on the island I think that things may have been different and it wouldn't be as focused on the males. Overall it was a good book and I recommend it if anyone would like a quick, enticing read.
Movie review: Lord of the flies movie (1990). The lord of the flies movie did not do the book justice, I found the movie incredibly boring, the acting was not the best (the actors were American instead of British). This adaptation was not as dark as the 1963 movie and book. The movie just did not do a good job at showcasing the savagery of the boys, it also did not do a very good job at portraying how long the boys were on the island. In the book it states how their hair got so long and dirty that it came to the point where they could not see/they had trouble keeping the hair out of their eyes. Overall the movie did not do justice to the original book.
