Olivia Imade

My name is Olivia Imade, I am studying Public Health Education at North Carolina Central University going on my third year. I am 22 years old and I am currently working at Best Buy as a Customer Service Specialist. I enjoy working and helping customers with anything that can make their life easier from price matching to finding an item that suits them best. Dancing is one of my favorite hobbies to do on my free time. I perform modern style most of the time which brings balance to my spirit.
One day, I discovered that I enjoy educating myself and others about living a healthier lifestyle. I have been trying to change my life around and make better choices when it comes to my health because without being healthy anything could happen to you. I have educated myself on what is good for me, what is okay to eat, and what it completely bad for you. Down this road I have managed to change people’s life from simple advice on what I did and how I do it. I noticed that people started to notice the change in my lifestyle and wanted to practice the same changes I made. That completely inspired me to really want to help and fully educate people about everything that could cause them to subtract years from their lives. Public Health was the best decision that could place me anywhere in the world to spread my message to others.
I love giving back to the community; that is the best way to reach out to people and passing along my message for healthier lifestyles the best way that I can. I volunteer for food banks, YMCA, and working with children. I plan to do more for the community in the future of hosting events for people to come out to a new environment of healthy living and practice doing yoga, eating healthy foods, and having fun all at the same time.
