My name is Olivia Baillie, I am 16 years old and live in Traralgon, Victoria. I am a National level swimmer.

I train 7 times a week for swimming and attend the gym 3 times a week. In total I do up to 21 hours of exercise weekly not including competition.

I've been competitive swimming since the age of 9. Throughout those 6 years I have completed many personal achievements.

Traralgon swimming club wise:

  • 10 year old age champion
  • 12 year old age champion. + coaches award same year
  • 13 year old age champion
  • 14 year old age champion

I qualified and competed in my first National Championships in 2021 which was ran at Gold Coast Queensland. 2022 I competed at my second National Championships in Adelaide and qualified for the B final in the 50 metre Backstroke.

State and country championships both long course and short course I have achieved many medals and finalled in multiple events. I have a total of 7 bronze medals from long course states and won my first ever state level gold medal in both 100 and 200 Metre backstroke at short course states.

As being apart of the Gippsland Sports Academy, each year a presentation night is ran. At the 2021 one I received the David Drane award for the swimmers then went up against all other receivers of this award from other sports. Overall, I ended up winning and taking home this final award
