Ollie took up the sport of Indoor Rowing in August 2010 and raced for the Royal Navy competing at his first World Championship in 2011 finishing 8th in the Men’s Heavyweight , 30-39 category. He joined Q-Power in June 2012.

A keen sportsman who once excelled at youth level in Olympic Class dinghy sailing, representing Team GB in the late 90’s and into the turn of the century at a number of European and World Championships. Aged 22 he left his then passion in search of a career and joined the Royal Marines in 2005.

He left the Royal Marines in 2011 in search of a new passion which was in the health and fitness industry where he is now a qualified Personal Trainer and Strength & Conditioning Coach. He is currently studying for a Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Sports and Exercise Nutrition with the ISSN.

Since joining Q-Power, Ollie has won various titles and has competed at no less than 3 World Championships in which he has achieved 3 top 10 finishes, his highest being 5th in 2013. With a current 2km PB of 6.07.6 he has dominated the Royal Navy with 3 consecutive wins and has won 2 National titles.

In March 2014, Ollie retired from Indoor Rowing after just 3 years with severe lower back issues, but attempted a comeback just 6 months later. It was short lived and lasted just a few months before breaking down with back spasms again.

In 2015 he took some time out before returning to the world of Indoor Rowing where he is now the Royal Navy Head Performance Coach.
