Olufunke Akagbosu
Transformational Leader in Lagos, Nigeria
Olufunke Akagbosu is a transformational and influential leader with a desire to create a brighter and wholesome future for young people (preteens, teens and adolescents) through her interactive and engaging sessions for building positive values in their everyday lives.
She began her journey into the world of transformational leadership over two decades ago at Trinity Chapel, London, UK.
Upon completion of her B.Sc. (Hons) in Information Systems at the University of East London, UK she went on to work as an IT Specialist and Project Manager for renowned organisations such as the BBC, UCLH, Norton Rose and Herbert Smith in London spanning a 12-year period.
Subsequently, she began to develop an unrelenting burden for young people. Watching helplessly and hopelessly as the lives and destinies of young people especially young girls and women were negatively affected due to poor lifestyle choices.
Her burden grew and she realised that God was calling her to take action, this led to the start of TeenzTalk, a chat show initiative focused on engaging young people discussing a wide range of issues affecting their daily lives. The main thrust of her message is PURITY, PREVENTION and PRESERVATION.
Her drive and passion to ensure excellence and adopt effective transformational leadership and community development skills led her to diverse countries such as Ukraine, South Africa and Thailand, where she was equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge, working with young people and children in international communities.
She was also actively involved in the transformation and community development in her local area of Britannia Village in London.
Olufunke, an enthusiastic member of her church, Trinity Chapel London for over 15 years, served in various ministries particularly the Singles ministry before moving back to Nigeria in 2011.
She was nominated as a local Councilor by The London Borough of Newham and also served as a Council member of the Christian People's Alliance Party (UK).
Since 2013 she has conducted teens' initiatives at Churches and Schools. In 2017, she hosted the first TeenzTalk chat show and has continued to run different teen programmes over the years. She longs to raise a generation of strong and wholesome individuals.
Since her return to Nigeria, she has worked within the private healthcare sector as an Executive Support and HR Specialist for almost a decade.
She currently worships at Daystar Christian Centre, Lagos together with her family.
