Professor and researcher at Universidad de Diseño, Innovación y Tecnología (UDIT) in Madrid since Junuary 2024, and User Experience Researcher at the CTIC Technological Center in Gijón, Asturias. PhD in Communication by the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos after receiving a grant from the Programa Nacional de Formación de Profesorado Universitario (FPU).

After finishing the Master in UX: Usability, Interaction Design and User Experience at Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) (Barcelona School of Management), Romero-Luis enters the Doctoral School of the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, while he woks as a researcher, member of Ciberimaginario Research Group, in the Science of Communication department. This happens after two years gaining experience as a User Experience Designer and Multimedia Creative Writer. He works as a freelance for several companies including the URJC Center for Innovation in Digital Education.

In 2014 he finishes a double degree in Audiovisual Communication and Journalism at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos de Madrid. Thanks to a grant, in 2013 he can study an academic year at the Università degli studi di Roma Trein Italy. In 2008 he completes an associate degree for Image and after years of gaining experience, he earns a Masters’ in graphic design at Aula Creactiva in 2011.

Moreover, Romero-Luis worked as a photographer at Motorpress Ibéricain 2008 which in turn enabled him to be featured in magazines such as CocheActual, Xtreme Quads, Motociclismo, Runners, Autopista or Connect, among others. Then in 2009, he works as a Clinical Photographer at Diagnóstico Bucofacial Dr. Ortega for three years.

In parallel with this, in 2009, Romero-Luis cofounds Sexto Orden magazine, a media outlet that specializes in classic guitar. In 2010, Romero-Luis founds La Sala 101, a blog that focuses on alternative culture, where he documents his beginnings in radiophonic journalism.
