Olu'Seun Esan has years of professional experience working for Non-Governmental, not for profit Organization. He has been involved in volunteering, student journalism and activism right from undergraduate day in the Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria where he studied Science Laboratory Technology. He held several positions of leadership in the institution which involves consultation, mediation and policy formulation among others. He currently runs a professional class in Industrial and Labour relations in the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. He joined New Initiative for Social Development (NISD) as a Program Officer in 2011 from where his outstanding performance led to his promotion and transfer to the Osun State Nigeria branch of the Organization as State Team Leader. He has in the course of his work collaborated with several International development Organizations. He has worked excellently on thematic areas like child development, democracy and good governance, Human right and gender development.
Olu'Seun is very passionate about equity and justice, helping his organization to institute and pursue cases of right abuse in Ekiti State. He occasionally volunteers to go to local towns and villages to work on community development, HIV/AIDS and motivation of children. Olu'Seun has researched severally on sub-National Budget transparency in South West Nigeria States.
Through all these diverse experiences, he developed excellent skills in Project management, strategic planning, policy formulation and impact analysis. He is a sterling character to youth Organizations and goes to speak severally in schools and Youth forums in South West Nigeria. He is a resource person for a number of activity, newspaper and blog site facilitate a lot of forum on Youth inclusion into Governance and youth activism. He presented a paper at the annual Ekiti Gender Summit 2013 Organized by the Office of the wife of the Governor, Ekiti State.
