Mrs. Oluwanifemi Oloyede (née Falabi)
began her academic career in Computer Engineering at Ekiti State University, setting a solid foundation for her future in technology. Her professional journey started as an IT Support Engineer at the Ilorin Government House, where she gained hands-on experience and mentorship in Cybersecurity and IT training.
Early in her career, Oluwanifemi faced a pivotal choice between project management and cybersecurity, ultimately dedicating herself to the latter. However, her project management skills were honed when she moved to Lagos and became Project Manager at Seth Technologies. There, she successfully led the initial creation of Bibbi Supermarket and managed the development of their website, sharpening her abilities in project delivery, client engagement, and leadership.
Her journey in cybersecurity grew deeper when she transitioned to roles at FCMB, where she impressively secured a Network Security Engineer position despite initially lacking formal certification, passing her CCNA exam within three days through determination and faith. She then became the most dependable team member in Vulnerability and Patch management team with no prior experience, driving the team to organizational compliance within three months, a testament to her resilience, leadership, and team collaboration.
At UBA, Oluwanifemi replicated her success by establishing effective patch management processes and training staff, contributing significantly to the organization’s cybersecurity posture. Currently, at FirstBank, she is entrusted with identifying and remediating threats, responding to security breaches, implementing critical security controls, and providing strategic recommendations to align the organization with best practices.
Project Management Experience
Oluwanifemi’s project management expertise extends beyond IT into retail, where she played an instrumental role in the launch of Bibbi Supermarket. Managing both the physical setup and digital presence of the supermarket, she demonstrated her ability to steer complex projects from conception through delivery, balancing stakeholder needs and team coordination effectively.
Unique Achievement: Guinness World Record Attempt
Adding to her diverse profile, Oluwanifemi's family has a notable connection to a remarkable endurance feat: Olusegun Oloyede’s attempt to set the Guinness World Record as the longest radio host, broadcasting continuously for 120 hours. This extraordinary event reflects a spirit of perseverance and dedication that resonates with Oluwanifemi’s own professional and personal ethos.
