Hi, I’m Ofentse Madikgetla. I’m a student living in Auckland Park, Johannesburg, Gauteng attending at the University of Johannesburg. I am perusing a degree in Education majoring in Neurodevelopmental Learning Needs and English. I am a fan of reading, creative writing specifically poetry & fictional stories. I spend my days studying the works of Jane Austen, Emily Brontë & Robert Frost as sources of inspiration for my own poetry. I’m also heavily interested in Educational Psychology and the idea of helping children with learning disabilities. I spend my free time voluteering at special schools around my district, helping teachers with anything that they might need extra help with. I allow my love for literary studies to guide my philosophy as a teacher. I aim to promote critical thinking in students through pieces of writing that challenge and entice their ability to question and form opinions on various themes. Moreover, I desire to bring social change to the educational system in a manner that will bring about inclusivity and collaboration in classrooms across the country. These beliefs bring great joy to my heart and guide my passion in my pursuit for my bachelors degree in education.
