Omar Ali

My life—up to this point—has consisted of a series of trips. Trips that led me to live and study across 4 continents, trips of self-discovery as I sought out my life’s calling, and power trips as I insisted on breaking conventions to accomplish my goals. I was born in Japan in 1994 and spent the majority of my childhood moving around until my family settled in San Diego, California. I attended Del Norte High School and heavily involved myself in student media and government. Following my graduation in 2013, my family relocated to Cairo. I am currently attending the University of St. Andrews in Scotland where I plan to attain an M.A. Honours degree in International Relations in 2017.
