Omer Golan is CEO and co-founder of Outernets, an innovative technology company that aims to bridge the gap between online and offline, converging the physical and digital worlds together with AI, data, and gamification.

Originally from Tel Aviv, Israel, Omer currently lives and works in NYC together with his wife and partner Tal, and their two kids Zoe Frank and El Zappa. Tal and Omer founded OMTA, their artistic collaboration in 2002, and since then they work together on countless fascinating projects. Omer is a media artist with a deep passion for innovation in both art and technology, and believes that innovation is best achieved by collaborations with a multi and interdisciplinary approach in mind. Coming from a fine arts background, today Omer is mostly a new-media and visual artist whose works are at the intersection of art, science, and technology. Omer is am an associate member of Leonardo, the International Society for the Arts, Sciences and Technology (Leonardo/ISAST).

Omer is interested in responsive environments, interactive, experience design, data vis, wearables and more. Omer collaborates with dance companies, fashion designers, biotechnologists and musicians.
