Omied Shakoori

As a young boy, Omied's music ambitions really came forth the day he started playing around on a keyboard. His family recalls his natural abilities as always existing. For the majority of his life, Omied taught himself how to play whatever instrument struck his interest. Though he begun on the keyboard, he has taught himself to play the guitar, the bass guitar, the drums, and other percussion instruments. Throughout his young adolescence he wrote songs for and played in a variety of bands. He began his studies in Sound Arts at Ex'pression College in Emeryville, CA in 2011. Omied is set to graduate in 2014 with his Bachelor's of Arts in Sound. His experience at the university has broadened his appreciation for music in an entirely different way. He is thankful for his education, as he believes it has improved his compositions.
