We are two people living out our second lives in the exact way we want to live and we are doing it all on a shoestring budget!

By second life I mean, we each started over after divorces from long-term marriages and together with our kids have learned how to live together, love each other, have fun together and travel together while remodeling our home and running a business together!

We aren't quite the Brady Bunch (only three kids and all girls), but like the Brady Bunch, we have merged our families and worked hard to treat everyone equally and we live together as if each of the girls belong to both of us. We live together with the kids exactly 50% of the time and when they are gone, we work together and/or travel together every day of the year (the working together is definitely not for everyone but it works wonderfully for us).

While we are not rich or famous (far from it, actually), we have found ways to explore our country and beyond on ridiculously low budgets. You will find us gone more than a few times a year and at least one of those trips will include all three kids!

People keep asking how we do this and all the other things we have going on in our lives so we thought we would start our blog, www.onawildhair.com so you can follow our progress!

If we succeed, we will encourage a whole bunch of people to get excited about traveling and seeing the world on a budget! We know not everyone can go as often as we can or even without their kids like we can, but if we can encourage a few of you to show yourselves and/or your children more of the world, we have done what we have set out to do!

Oh and did I mention, we always stay in at least three star accommodations and we do theme parks and cruises? Stay tuned...
