Ondřej Elleder

interpreter/translator in Prague, Czech Republic

Hi World,

I am an interpreter/translator available for work in Arabic, English and Czech.

I work, in both directions, between

Arabic and (English or Czech)

and

English and Czech.

With Arabic, my focus is on community interpreting. I work with Modern Standard Arabic and the Levantine dialects. (I also have some experience with the Egyptian dialect and a little with the Iraqi dialect.)

I started providing language services in 2005.

I am based in Prague, Czech Republic – the geographical heart of Europe. (We Czechs never fail to add that.)

I was born in Prague and educated in the US (or in English-speaking schools) from high school on up – including Cornell University, where I got a B.A. in philosophy and a master's in Arabic philology.

I have been steeped in the study of the languages I work with since the 1990s.

Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have.
