Felecia Ongley

Felecia Ongley is the COO of VIP Marinas. She has her B.S. from TSU and CMM from the Association of Marina Industries.

Felecia is a wife of 32 years, with four children and 11 grandchildren. She enjoys family time and traveling with my family. She looks forward to a family trip with the entire crew each year. She graduated from TSU with a B.S. in 2009; she was a nontraditional student raising four kids and getting an education. She is a first-generation college Graduate, and the support of her family is what helped her achieve this goal. She initially pursued a career in teaching but quickly realized that the public education system was not for her.

She started her journey in the marina industry in December 2012 when her previous employer called and offered a position to help run a marina on Possum Kingdom Lake. She had previously worked with Austin Cameron in real estate for seven years while attending college. She saw this as an exciting opportunity to venture into a new industry and joined the company. Knowing that success in this industry required a quick learning curve, she immersed herself in every aspect of the business. She worked in the ship store during the day, handled accounting at night, worked alongside service mechanics, operated the tractor to move boats, managed the cash register, refueled and pumped out boats, managed inventory, and learned about the financials. She soon realized that running a marina was a complex operation with many moving parts. After a year, she became the General Manager of Bluff Creek Marina. Within 18 months, she was promoted to Regional Manager, and in September 2020, she was appointed Chief Operating Officer. Additionally, in 2015, she began investing in marinas and became an operating partner in 4 marinas.

Her involvement in the marina industry is not just a professional endeavor; it's a personal passion. She takes immense pride in fostering a sense of community at each marina, where tenants are more than just customers-they're family. She aims to build marina teams that embody servant leadership and deliver exceptional customer service. She is privileged to be a part of VIP Marina Management VIP Marinas Group, a company that operates 14 marinas across multiple states.
