Onur Alp Biçer

I am currently a senior at Uskudar American Academy. I was born in Istanbul, Turkey in 1997. I lived in İzmit until high school. I currently live in Istanbul.

I am very interested in computers. I started my computer enthusiasm somewhere around 9th grade. I like gaming like most people obviously. When I play a game that requires skill and that has a competition, I play that game until I master it. That's why I don't play that many various games. Right now, I am playing Counter Strike: Global Offensive. Aside from gaming, the hardware and software of computers interest me as well. Of course, I don't know everything about computer hardware, but I have a considerable amount of hardware knowledge. As for the software part, I have entry level Java and C# experience. And in the future, I am hoping to become a programmer.

Aside from computers, I also do sports. As a child, I have done lots of sports, from football to ice-skating. But sailing and swimming are the two sports that I have done most professionally, and most consistently. I started swimming pretty early, but it was until later that i began to attend races. I swam in the school team for 5 consecutive years in my primary school starting from 3rd grade until 8th grade. During high school though, I didn't continue swimming. In the case of sailing, I started during the summer between 3rd and 4th grades. At first, I wasn't that willing to go, but I went anyways. And starting from that summer, I have been sailing every summer since, with the only exception of 7th grade, because I was studying to get into a good high school. But after that summer, I continued sailing, and I still do. Things that I got from sailing, I will cherish my whole life.

Another thing I am interested in is music. I have been playing piano for 12 years now. My first music lessons were just private lessons, but then, I got into a music school which I continued for 5 years until I had to move to another city for high school. During high school, I took some more private lessons, but right now, I am just continuing on my own. I also can sing. I have been in my high school's choir for 4 consecutive years now. I also take part in the school musical club.
