Onyema Nsirim

Dr. Onyema Nsirim is a distinguished Nigerian scholar, educator, and certified librarian. He earned his B.Sc. in Library and Information Science from the University of Ilorin, and subsequently obtained his MLIS and PhD in Library and Information Science from Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Port Harcourt.

Dr. Nsirim is a Certified Librarian of Nigeria (CLN) by the Librarians’ Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN), and also duly registered with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) affirming his cross-disciplinary expertise in teaching and librarianship.

His leadership within the Nigerian Library Association (NLA) includes serving as Secretary of the Rivers State Chapter, Managing Editor of Information Managers: A Journal of the Nigerian Library Association, Rivers State Chapter. He was Secretary of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the 62nd National Conference of the Nigerian Library Association (NLA) held in Port Harcourt in 2024, as well as Chairman of the LOC for the NLA Rivers State Chapter Conference held on December, 2022.
