Onyinye Mbachu
Brand and Experiential Marketing in Ontario, Canada
Hi there!
Thank you for taking the time to view my profile. My name is Onyinye, but you can call me Onyi.
As a Marketing and Communications professional and entrepreneur, I have built a career around delivering impactful results for purpose-driven brands across different continents and sectors. I graduated from university with a medical degree but developed a passion for building brands and decided to pursue a career in strategic brand management — a journey that has since taken me across three continents and into entrepreneurship.
Most recently, I co-founded Novel Photo Booth, an interactive photo and video booth company creating memorable, shareable experiences across Ontario, Canada. At Novel Photo Booth, I bring together my expertise in brand strategy, content creation, and audience engagement to craft immersive moments that leave a lasting impression — whether at corporate events, weddings, or brand activations. It's where marketing meets magic.
Beyond Novel Photo Booth, I currently serve as Brand Manager at YPO, a global non-profit, where I collaborate cross-functionally with a diverse, global team to elevate YPO's external profile among key stakeholders.
My experience spans North America, the United Kingdom, and Africa, where I have helped organizations exceed their marketing and communication goals through brand strategy, positioning, messaging, and multi-channel content creation. Prior to YPO, I completed a Marketing Management Post-graduate program at Seneca College and gained experience at a Toronto-based communications agency and a non-profit organization. Back home in Nigeria, I drove strategic communications for local and international brands as a Senior Account Executive at LSF PR, one of Africa's top-rated public relations agencies.
With 10+ years in the marketing and communications space, I have had the privilege of working with brands such as Prince's Trust Canada, CDW Canada, Purpose Investments, Morneau Shepell, Siemens, Unilever (OMO), Remy Martin, Glenfiddich, Jägermeister, and more.
With a specific interest in empowering women and black communities, I am dedicated to creating opportunities for young people to thrive and succeed through mentorship, educational initiatives, and community outreach.
Please feel free to connect with me via email or social media.
