Oren Penso
Field CISO
Oren Penso is a Senior Member of Technical Staff who specializes in Cloud-Native Applications at VMware Tanzu his current role is Field CISO in EMEA.
Oren has more than 15 years of experience in infrastructure technologies working in senior positions in different system integrators and as a customer in the financial industry.
As part of the experience on system integrators, he was kind of All in One employee and did it all: engineering, post-sales, presales, project management and even sales for a while. As a customer, Oren had the pleasure of building a new bank in the Bank of Jerusalem for four years as the IT Technology unit manager, responsible for all of the bank's IT Infra and Ops.
In his last position as a customer, prior to VMware, Oren was the Head of IT Infrastructure & CTO in Migdal Insurance (the largest insurance company in Israel), managing six teams responsible for all aspects of Infrastructure and DB.
On top of that, Oren is also a part of the academic staff in the college for information security, responsible for lectures around the technology aspect of the CISO course.
Oren holds a Masters's degree focused on managing startups, and Bachelor's degree focused on marketing and technologies.
