"..there's nothing new under the sun."

The first time I read the above comment made by another fellow designer, I went depressed. Reason being, to my shallow understanding at that time, it meant that there can only be x number of ways to draw a sun. Regardless of how 'creative' you try, someone else had drawn the same before you..

Fortunately, what I learn in Chinese calligraphy lesson helped ignite my design passion again - that one could never write/draw the same every time, because our breath can never be the same from this inhalation to the next. We may be drawing a sun the same way, but how our sun shines will be different...
