Oren's academic foundations were laid at City Honors High School in Buffalo, where he distinguished himself as an International Baccalaureate Diploma candidate and earned his NY Regents Diploma in June 2019. Beyond his scholarly pursuits, he was integral to the school's rowing team, serving as co-captain and guiding his team to national competitions. This early display of leadership and teamwork foreshadowed his later accomplishments.

Oren's passion for science led him to participate in the NASA NY Space Grant at SUNY Geneseo during the summer of 2023. Working under the mentorship of Dr. Pellerin, he utilized advanced imaging techniques on data from the Hubble Space Telescope to produce RGB images of nearby galaxies. This project played a crucial role in studying planetary nebulae, adding valuable insights to astrophysics.

In addition to his academic and research activities, Oren has demonstrated significant technical skills in a project he undertook in the fall of 2023. He engineered a system using Labview to control two-stepping motors. This project, which involved synchronizing a toy car with a live stream camera, showcased his ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical challenges, solving them with innovative technical solutions.

Leadership has been a consistent theme in Oren's life. His journey from Eagle Scout, where he led a project to build a deer enclosure, to his role as Sports Chair of the Zeta Beta Xi Fraternity at SUNY Geneseo illustrates his ability to lead and inspire others.
