Robert Ceccarelli

My name is Rob Ceccarelli and I have been a secondary school teacher for 17 years. I am starting my 15th year in the school I am currently working at which is in the Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board. My teaching qualifications are Intermediate and Senior Mathematics, Personal Services Cosmetology (this is not a mistake), Computer Technology and Design and Technology Part 1.

To give a brief explanation how the Cosmetology came about I would like to mention that I have grown up in the hairdressing industry. My father has been a hairdresser all his life and when I was younger I would help out every so often. After graduating from university and not being certain what I wanted to do with my life I decided to pursue the career of hairdressing and went to hairdressing school. Eventually, this trade was used to help me be the teacher I am today.

My wife, Anna, and I currently celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary and we have 2 wonderful boys aged 15, Christian, and 13, Jordan.

A couple of reasons why I am taking this course is first, to allow for me to be able to take the Technological Specialist Course and secondly, to learn about something which I like very much.

A quote I like very much which have posted in my class and hope has a positive influence on my students is the following “Give to the world the best you have and the best will come back to you”. I got this quote from a card that was given to me when I graduated from hairdressing school.
