Orisha is a recording artist, actress and dancer, based in Los Angeles of Slavic, Scandinavian and Brazilian ancestry. A classically trained violin player & singer, Orisha has been writing music in different genres for more then decade and professionaly recorded vocals, violin and piano parts for variety of artists . Her music - eclectic explosion, interweaves mixed music genres, world grooves and modern synth sounds. Unique and sensual dance symfony takes you on a ride from the first note you hear.

In 2008 ORISHA formed Orisha Sound project – band with the mission to discovery of a new sound through the conscious fusion of various musical styles, world grooves, melodies & dance. Deeply inspired by genre-blending artists like Zap Mama, Bjork, Erykah Badu, Fela Kuti, Manu Chao, Jamiroquai, the Fugees, the Roots, DJ Krush & Trilok Gurtu - Orisha Sound bridge modern electronic musical styles with traditional elements. Orisha comments, “I’m reminded every day that the world is getting more & more global - that we are more connected & that we should be more aware... that we are prepared more than ever to discover & learn from each other. I believe music - like sports or dance, painting or cooking - evolves when unique ingredients are tastefully blended together.”
