Orkun TEKE

I have bachelor degree in Geophysical Engineering at Dokuz Eylül University. And now, I am master student at Izmir Institute of Technology Energy Engineering (Energy& Power Systems). During my educational period, the most important thing for me is that increasing my personal development. Also I am targeting to gain different perspectives and to make a differences. I have attended some seminars, courses and congresses for the purpose of addition. I was selected to education program of Yapı Kredi Bank. This program is called as a Heroes Club that prepared for student’s personal improvement. Via this project, I find to opportunity to attend some courses almost one year. Also I’m taking an active role at student community of university as a head of consulting team. These experiences gave me a chance to gain different perspectives and meet different people. IEEE, Alternative Energy Club, Geophysics Student Community (DEÜJET) and Caucasian Folk Dance Community are the communities in which I am taking active role.

Within this experiences and projects, I found to opportunity to improve myself about leading project teams, collaboration in groups, In this way, I realized the meaning of being part of organization and team for mutual goals.
