Orla Shanaghy is an Irish writer of fiction and non-fiction.

Her short stories have been shortlisted for the Fish Short Story Prize 2012 and the William Trevor Prize 2007.

Orla's non-fiction work has been broadcast several times on Ireland's national radio station, RTÉ. Her work is included in the prestigious Irish publication The Sunday Miscellany Anthology 2008 – 2011, and she is a contributor to the award-winning Irish group blog The Anti Room. Orla's translation work has been published in The Stinging Fly, Dublin's literary magazine.
