As the Graduate Assistant at the Academic & Career Information Center (ACIC) I have the opportunity to meet with students individually for career planning and assessment. My job is to help students find their passion and relate it to an academic program here at Kansas State University - watching students light up about their future gives me purpose. In this position I also have the opportunity to train and develop our undergraduate Career Specialists who are the heart our of office, as well as serve as a facilitator for our EDCEP 120 course: Academic & Career Decisions. You can also find me around campus as I present to various student groups about the services our office provides. My passion is assisting students in finding their own passions, and how they can develop into the best version of themselves.

Outside of work, I am a full-time Masters' student in the College Student Development program here at K-State. My areas of interest in Student Affairs include first year students, specifically the benefits of living-learning communities, as well as international students and their transition to the American college experience. In addition to my Masters degree I am completing the Academic Advising certificate.

Prior to my graduate studies, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from K-State along with a secondary major in International Studies and minor in Nonprofit Leadership with the dream of working for the U.S. State Department. Now, my dream job is advising the student I once was, those pursuing a career in International Relations and Development.

In my spare time I enjoy reading, historical fiction or biographies, catching up on my favorite TV shows and pretending to be a runner. Above all, I strive to learn something new everyday from those around me, because learning truly never ends.
