Family means a lot of different things to people. For some, it could be lifelong friends, for others, it could be people they avoid at all costs. For me, my family made me who I am. My mom is a caring woman who is devoted to her faith. Her love for God allows her to be patient, even to those undeserving. My mom introduced me to my faith and taught me how to treat others. I watched my older brother always stay true to himself when we were growing up. He taught me to be proud of who I am even when the world was against me. My dad was a hardworking man. He would always make ends meet, even in the most straining situations. He taught me responsibility and how to persevere through difficult times. My uncle worked with computers before I was even born. He would teach me all he knew when he had the opportunity to. My uncle inspired me to study the field I’m in today. The love from my grandparents taught me how much of a positive effect compassion can have on people’s lives. My little brothers helped me learn how to work with people who see the world differently than I do. My family made me Osamudia Omoregbe. I am a 20-year-old male from Nigeria that wants to use all the tools given to me by my loved ones to be successful in the field of Cognitive Science. I love God and hope to be kind and understanding to all the people I meet in life. Lastly, and most importantly, I always want to leave a positive impression on the people I meet because the person I am is a reflection of how great the people in my family are.
