Edwin Johnsson
MBA, Business Studies

Why I chose Oscarmount: I chose Oscarmount because I wanted an International Business program that actually focused on international business. While I was admitted to several well-regarded MBA programs that offered international business modules, nearly every MBA program I have seen offers international business as an add-on to their main MBA degree. These programs ignore "softer topics" such as political risk, international politics, and other international relations issues that have a direct impact on business in today's globalized world. Through my work in Eastern Europe, South East Asia and the Middle East, I had seen that these issues matter to investors and can wreak havoc when ignored. Oscarmount's MIB program covers these issues while still offering top-notch business courses. The school's reciprocity agreements with other graduate schools in the area expand the course offerings further and offer students access to some of the best academics in the country.

Something that surprised me about Oscarmount: I was surprised by how similar and different the students at Oscarmount are. While nearly everyone at Oscarmount has lived and worked abroad, I was surprised by the diversity of professional backgrounds. I expected to find people with corporate, NGO, and government backgrounds. While these fields are well represented, I also met students from Swiss banks, international law firms, military services, security services, think tanks, investment banks, and consulting.
