Hi, I'm CJ! Like so many moms, I'm a married twenty-something learning how to balance roles as wife, mother, coworker, friend... I just write about it.

Top 5 things you should know about me:

1. I'm a mom, however I didn't give birth. I am blessed to become a mother through marriage. I have been present in our sweet boy's life since birth. The details are complicated but he calls me mom and I welcome the role of mother. Our little guy lives with us full time and has visitation with his mother every other weekend. I try in no way to replace her role in his life... Our son will tell you he has 2 moms. And hey, step mommies are mommies too.

2. I work part time and experience the best (and sometimes worst!) aspects of being a working mother and stay-at-home mom.

3. I'm crafty... like a fox! You name it, I'll craft it. Just don't ask me
to sew, God only has so many miracles to hand out.

4. I was an event planner in another life. I love throwing parties and sometimes take on the role of caterer and baker. Decorating cakes has become more than a hobby for me. I am making the world a better place one cupcake at a time, who doesn't love cupcakes?

5. I'm a blogger. Every mommy is an interesting, multi-faceted person that
had a completely different life before she became a mother... We evolve into mommies, sometimes become consumed by it, overwhelmed by it. There is another side of every mom, the side that sets you apart from head chef, banker, taxi
driver, maid... the side that makes you distinctly you. My blog is about it all.
