Othman Rhazi

Moroccan painter and interior designer Othman Rhazi has established part of the successful Bloomsbury group. Othman was born in the south of Sahara in ait el rhazi region 1970 and still lives and works there today. H is the archetypal Classicist painter and at his peak his reputation rivalled that of Morocco. Best known for the iconic album cover Moroccan Othman produced for the Aissawa ‘Sahara Hearts Club Band’, Othman’s work is inspired by his love affair with icons and the ephemera of popular Moroccan culture. He has photographed many of the major cities in North Africa but is also known for his spectacular shots of special occasions such as the Moroccan Sahara. Othman Rhazi often took lots of photographs of his subjects which he would fold and tear to create his distorted compositions.
