I am a writer, editor and a trainer of journalists with a career of working on daily and weekly newspapers in South Africa and having taught journalism in universities and polytechnics, and in radio and the newspaper and magazine industries.

As an experienced feature and news writer. I have conducted training for mid-career journalists and government media personnel, including the setting up of a government news agency. I have specialised in development media, focusing mainly on editorial development in the community press as well as the management of small newspapers and community radio stations.
In the complex world of media training and production, I am skilled at working with all sorts of people at every level. My skills include the rigors of working with small budgets, the handling of staff and students. We conduct practical research, news and feature writing and design and editing of reports, speeches, books for print and electronic media.
