Sandie Dent
Shrewsbury, UK
Born in Lancashire, a stone’s throw from the infamous witches’ cairn on Pendle Hill, Sandie was educated at the local grammar school where she excelled in English, Art, History and Detention. After spells wandering, she now lives with her family in Shropshire, UK.
With three decades’ experience in administration, project management and business reengineering, she has worked in the private and public sectors (steel & travel industries, academia, urban regeneration), and has also set up and run freelance administration consultancies in Scotland and England. Currently, she is owner/director of Ouicreative and editorial partner of Mad Bear Books.
Writing as Sandie Zand, she has had short stories published in the Words to Music (2011) collection. Her début novel The Sky is not Blue will be published in summer 2013. She blogs at Thoughts from the Shed and can also be found, sporadically, on Twitter.
