Champion for girls education and children's rights, Ousmane Ba is a student at Columbia University, studying political science and economics, with a focus on peace and advocacy. He is also a public speaker, Blogger, and Advocate for Education currently living in New York. His interest interests range from education to innovation. He also interested in volunteering, writing, and politics.

Ousmane is involved with numerous education campaigns. He runs a campaign called the 'The Girl Child' campaign, a project that helps parents in SierraLeone and Guinea send their girls to school.

Also, he is a Global Youth Ambassador at A World at School, a movement launched in 2014 by the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and the United Nations Special Envoy for Global Education Gordon Brown.

In his capacity as a Global Youth Ambassador, he holds town halls, engage the community and meet with local and world leaders to advance the course of education. More so, he is leading peacebuilding initiatives in Guinea to promote youth engagement and civil duties in Guinea.

In September 2016, he was selected to co-lead advocacy activities and represent the #safeschool campaign during the 71 United Nations Assembly, in New York.
