Victor EKPO is a Cancer Advocate, Medical Physicist, and Entrepreneur, based in Calabar, Nigeria.
He is Founder of OVERJOY T-shirts and Souvenirs - the creators of Calabar Souvenirs.
OVERJOY was founded in 2016, to promote the tourist city of Calabar, by making Calabar tshirts and souvenirs for residents and tourists. Based on the quality of their work and service, OVERJOY got referrals for related jobs, and has now expanded into all kinds of printing and branding. In 2021, OVERJOY received the AEP Digital grant from Facebook in partnership with Fate Foundation.
Victor supports several charities, notably Efik Leadership Foundation and Pink Africa Foundation, working to stem the scourge of cancer (esp. breast, cervical and prostate cancers) in Nigeria.
Every October, Pink Africa Foundation organizes the Calabar Go Pink Day to bring awareness, do free screening and raise funding for breast cancer. Since 2019, the Calabar Go Pink Day has been the biggest health walk and advocacy in the city, bringing together over 30 corporate organizations, hospitals and NGOs.
He is an alumnus of University of York UK (M.Sc Wireless Computing), University of Lagos (M.Sc Medical Physics), University of Calabar (B.Sc Physics) and Fate Foundation (AEP85).
Victor Ekpo is a recipient of the NITDA Overseas Postgraduate Scholarship, the CRS Undergraduate Scholarship, Facebook and Fate Foundation Grant, amongst many other awards.
He has varied experience in cancer advocacy, medical physics, international trade, business development, graphic design, data analysis and web development.
He has worked in the head offices of First Bank (Lagos) and CER Financial / Diamond Bank UK (London). He is currently Executive Director at Pink Africa Foundation, and a Medical Physicist at ASI Ukpo Cancer Centre.
