OVI REY

OVI REY is without question the most captivating, heartfelt, bona fide westcoast Latin Recording Artist out. This 21 year old, South Central L.A. born of Salvadorean decent, took the first three letters of his first name Ovidio, and the first three letters of his last name Reyes, to make a name for himself in the Latin Music Industry.

OVI REY uses a combining form of LatinUrban / Latin Dance / Latin R & B, Urbano, Hip Hop, Reggaeton, Mombahton and Merengue. His honestly deep vocals on love ballads like "Adolorido" to his popular high energy dance track "Ponselo Bonito" , reflects where the Latin/Urban/Dance movement on the west coast is going.

Ovi Rey has just written, composed, and performed the Spanish title track for "We the Party", a feature film directed by Mario Van Peebles, out Theatres everywhere April 6th 2012. "We Are the Party/Nosotros Somos El Party" will be on both the score and soundtrack.

Ovi Rey was hand picked out of 100 Latino/Urban Musicians to showcase his sticky dance track, "Ponselo Bonito" for 12 Corazones, where he reached 22.9 million viewers during the peak season of the Telemundo dating show.

Ovi Rey has performed 100 + Total performances in 2011- 2012 at 90+ Different Venues, while headlining 80 % of his shows in Los Angeles, and Southern California alone.

Ovi Rey co -founded Haciendo Buena Musica LLC, and has 2 of his own imprints on the Label, Haciendo Buena Musica (The Urban/ Latin/ Dance Music Division) & Axe Gang L.A. ( A raw street Hip Hop / Rap movement) with a peculiar ode to martial Arts, clever marketing, Hip Hop storytelling, and street Hip Hop mixtapes.

Ovi Rey is set to release his first major effort in August of 2012, where he will perform and make wave for a new sound in West Coast Latin/Urban/Dance. Stay tuned.
