Owais Afridi is associated with Higher Education Management and Skills Development for the youth and professionals since 2003, Having skills succesful projects in the area of program management, policy making for skills and youth development, arranging various Convocations, Annual dinners and Youth Festivals in his profile, as some of the evidences of it. He is much comfortable while working on any program related to youth and social development. Along with it, he has strong aptitude for Academic Program Marketing and development of Industry-Academia Relationships. and received the Dean’s award in recognition of fast developing industry-academia relationships.

While working with various higher eductaional institutes and universities as Program Manager, Deputy Registrar Academics and Head of Communication and Corporate Relations, he learnt to coordinate different activities in order to smoothly execute proposed plans and academic programs, he also remained in touch with social work and worked with UFAK (an NGO) as Master Trainer.
Moreover, working with United Nations Development Program (UNDP) projects as a Master Trainer & Coordinator, which familiarized him with the Human Resource Development (HRD). It is due to these added experiences that he has learned how to work with public and private organizations and to understand the International standards of Project Management.
Since his tenure at Habib University Foundation (H,U,F,) he has been working with Ministry of Youth Affairs, Govt of Sindh for implementing its Youth Skill Dvelopment programs in Six Major Districts of Sindh. Along with it, he has been working with German Consulate for implementation of Germany Pakistani Training Initiative (GPATI) and National Vocational and Techinal Training Commission (NAVTTC) for implimenting their skills development projects. He is also working to promote different programs of Youth Skill Development in rular and urban areas of SIndh.

He is also associated with AMANTECH - The Aman Foundation for the conduction of Soft/Life Skills development training sessions with students of various trades, cultures and age-groups
These experiences have widened his horizons that have resulted in in-depth understanding of skills development, higher education, socio-cultural and professional lines of the youth and importance of co & extra curricular activities in the lives of knowledge seekers to be the active and talented part of so
