Owen Beans

Owen Beans, originally from Greenville, IL, is a student working towards his BFA in Musical Theatre at Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas with expected graduation in May 2014. While at ACU, Owen has performed in their Mainstage productions of 42nd Street (Mac/Ensemble), Emma (Mr. Weston), The King and I, and The Pirates of Penzance. This spring he will be in their Metamorphoses and in their Footloose as Cowboy Bob.

The past three summers have found Owen very involved in Central Illinois theatre performing with the Springfield Muni Opera and the Legacy Theatre. Summer of 2012 saw Owen taking on the role of Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and then that of Emmett in Legally Blonde: The Musical.

After graduation Owen intends to relocate to New York City or Chicago and start living the dream. His goal is to be successful as a theatre artist and to serve his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in whatever ways possible through the performing arts. Romans 8:38-39.
