I am a performing artist, composer and a singer working widely in the field of contemporary theatre.
From 1.st October 2013 I start a tree years research fellowship at Norwegian Theatre Academy founded by «Norwegian Artistic Research Programme» with the project «Capto Musicae» - Researching sonic and musical theatre in a contemporary artistic context.
I have worked at a number of theatrical institutions, as well as with independent groups, these include, among others: Den Nationale Scene, Dansens Hus, Haugesund Teater, Hedmark Teater, Karstein Solli Productions, Grusomhetens Teater, Kingsworks, Brit Lossius Teatrproduksjoner, Østfold Teater, Akershus Teater, and I was a co-founder of the Oslo Baroque Opera. I have performed at theatre and music festivals as well as touring theatres and concert arenas in Norway, Germany, Finland, Israel, Chile, Brazil, Italy, France and the Netherlands. I have also premiered a number of musical works by Norwegian and foreign composers, written for me. Among others: Henrik Marstrander, Jon Øivind Ness, Jyrki Linjaama, Knut Avenstroup Haugen, Svend Christiansen, Bjørn Sverre Kristensen. In 2008 I started a collaboration with the director/coreograph Karstein Solli. In this collaboration I perform, and also compose the music and the sonic structures of the projects.In 2008 we premiered the cross-disciplinary performance Readymade Baby. Since the premiere at The National Stage for Dance, Dansens Hus, the performance has been shown about 150 times in several countries. Other works in collaboration with Karstein Solli in which I have contributed as a performer and composer: Sjelden Fugl and Ned i mosen med deg menneske, by Marianne Skjeldal. In 2011 "Klaus Nomi Angel of Suburbia" was premiered at Dramatikkens Hus in Oslo. This project was fully funded by governmental art foundations. I developed the concept, I produced it myself, and I play the lead role as Klaus Nomi. Artists associated with the project involve among others: Piotr Cholodzinski, Sven Henriksen, Sabina Jacobsson, Elisabeth K. Nilsson, Ørnulv Snortheim, Jørgen Langhelle and Kari Onstad. In 2012 we performed the play at «Festspillene i Nord Norge» and it is so far invited to Dublin and Krakow.
In 2013 i composed and instructed the musicical voicework in the latest play at «Grusomhetens teater» (Theatre of Cruelty) and director Lars Øyno. This compositions is conected to an extended understanding of voice technique and aestetics. The resul
