Verbesserte Fassung:
Olaf Zachert, born in 1977, is the Managing Director and ultimate beneficial owner of Zachert Private Equity GmbH.
He began his career in journalism and television production. In 1995, he completed an internship at telefacts.tv Produktionsgesellschaft mbH in Essen, working across various production departments as a television producer and reporter for formats connected with RTL Television and BILD Zeitung.
He later moved to Bloomberg TV in London, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bloomberg L.P., where his work focused on German DAX-listed companies, technology stocks and the Neuer Markt. In his early twenties, he founded News Network, a media services company with eight locations across Germany and more than 300 employees. In 2000, News Network was engaged as a technical and production services provider for Bloomberg TV’s stock exchange reporting.
Following the insolvency of ProSiebenSat.1 AG at the time, Zachert increasingly focused on restructuring, financing and client relationship management through Crown Unternehmensberatung, initially for media companies and later for mid-sized businesses across Germany. In 2005, he transitioned into the private equity sector. Through Thangol Holding, he successfully completed investments across various industries, including tourism, real estate, manufacturing and services.
In 2013, at the request of an investor, Zachert returned to the media sector and joined the management board of Publishers Partners GmbH. He restructured the publishing business and successfully repositioned it around the Berlin-based online TV channel doppio.tv. He left the management board at his own request in 2016.
Today, Zachert Private Equity GmbH is led by Olaf Zachert and supported by a team of employees and external professionals.
