Oz Island, are from different regions of Northern Australia such as the Kimberley's and Arnhem Land. This Perth based band conveys a fresh combination of Reggae, Rock and R&B; using a contemporary setup of drums, keys, bass, electric/acoustic guitar, vocals and various percussion instruments. The band was formed in Perth Western Australia. The members are Geoffrey James, Japeth James, Patrick Laurel and Fabian Cox. Oz Island performs all original written material with some songs performed in their traditional Indigenous language. The band have performed with audiences ranging from 100 to over 5000 people, Festivals and Events such as Too Solid Music Festival, Keila Moorditj Festival, Minawarra Festival, Bassendean Multicultural festival, Harmony Day Concert, Indigenous Tourism Conference (Burswood Entertainment Complex) and much more. Oz Island has received massive praise by large audiences at all performances. Their live shows consist of a unique energy with a stage presence that captivates the audience. The bands objective is to always make the crowd dance and above all, have fun. With many outstanding songs hidden within the band, we can expect the release of their debut album 'Better Life' in mid 2012.
