Mehmet Dali Ozturk, Ph.D.

Dr. Öztürk has extensive academic leadership and management experience in educational partnerships, research, assessment, and evaluation. Dr. Öztürk has developed and implemented technology in academic settings. His professional expertise includes integration and exploitation of educational innovations. He currently serves in an advisory role as Vice President for Research & Learning Innovation at The Predictive Technologies Corporation at the ASU SkySong Innovation Center.

Dr. Öztürk received his Ph.D. in Education Policy, Planning and Administration from the University of Southern California (USC). He holds a Master of Arts degree in College and University Administration from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Measurement & Evaluation in Education from Hacettepe University. Dr. Öztürk was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Institute for the Study of Social Change at the University of California-Berkeley.

While at ASU, Dr. Öztürk has served in many leadership roles in research, evaluation, and development including Principal Management Research Analyst, Executive Director, Assistant Vice President, Deputy Special Envoy to the Executive Vice President and Provost of the University, Associate Vice President, and most recently, Assistant Dean and Assistant Research Professor at the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College, the nation's largest teacher-prep school. As Associate Vice President, Dr. Öztürk directed all research, evaluation and development efforts to support the office mission to engage P-20 public and private sector partners and enhance the academic performance of students in high need communities. Dr. Öztürk also worked closely with the ASU Education Executive Work Group (EEWG) supported by the Executive Vice President and Provost of the University. This multidisciplinary group of deans, vice provosts/presidents, and other senior administrators provided university-wide guidance to all education-related units, divisions, colleges, and schools with the sole purpose of securing resources to advance ASU's goals for education research, teaching, innovation and service.

Dr. Öztürk is a two-time recipient of the University of Southern California's Outstanding International Leadership Award and his hobbies include reading from pages of The New Yorker and The Economist to his baby daughter.
