I am a London-based Freelance Copywriter/Advertising and Marketing Creative Type Person Guy.

What the heck does that mean? It means that I've done a little of everything: branding, marketing, and advertising strategy, traditional advertising campaigns, digital advertising campaigns, social media campaigns, radio & television scripts, video scripts, website copy, taglines, promotions, and the occasional hilarious greeting card headline.

I began my career as an advertising copywriter in the US, and spent a decade producing integrated advertising campaigns for brands such as Jack Daniels, American Airlines, 7UP, and Bausch & Lomb. In 2011, I moved to London to accept a role as the lead branding copywriter for the world’s largest privately held education company, EF Education First. In this role, I developed advertising and marketing campaigns that ran in Europe, Asia, and Latin America, and had to be translated into several different languages.

In 2013, I started my own company (Warp Drive UK) so that I could offer my services as a freelancer, as well as take on a few personal creative projects in my spare time. But a funny thing happened as I was accepting run-of-the-mill copywriting jobs - I found myself acting as a UX and branding consultant. It turned out I’d learned a thing or two about this stuff in my previous roles, and could now apply theory to practice. In addition to consulting with several local startups, I’ve worked as a branding/UX consultant and creative director for several larger UK brands, including Doddle, Oxfam, and Comsar Energy. Having never been a creative director in an agency, I was initially hesitant to manage creatives, but my confidence has grown with each little victory.

Creative thinking and problem solving are in my DNA, and the only way to reverse that would probably be some sort of painful laboratory procedure involving gamma rays. I pretty much just enjoy taking on any creative challenge I can get my hands on, especially the kind that keeps me up late at night working until my wife yells at me to come to bed. Most recently, I've been trying my hand at developing mobile games in my spare time because I have this prescription for a new indigestion drug and it works pretty well.

I currently reside in the very fancy-sounding Royal Borough of Greenwich with my lovely wife Kristina.
