A girl can never have too many shoes. I can say this with some authority as I have 16 pairs of shoes crammed into the bottom of my Russell closet and they have yet to let me down. From Chaco’s to wedges each shoe is a piece of me that allows me to put my best foot forward. For when I am outdoorsy or bumming it to class I have my blue Chaco’s that beg the question did she just go hiking or come from the infamous Brumby hill. My more sporty runs to Bolton or Target require bright blue sneakers that will never be worn in enough to assume that I run on a regular basis. Back in the dorm where I don’t need to keep up the allusion of being physically active I can slip on my fuzzy moccasins and work on knocking out another season of Scandal on Netflix. My fun, out-going side is revealed in the cutest and most uncomfortable wedges I have ever had the misery of wearing out. Beauty is pain? Maybe I’ll wear sandals next time. My extroverted side and school pride come together in the most obnoxious pair of red Georgia cowboy boots that I just had to own. Each pair of shoes I wear is a symbol of my personality, my mood, and my attitude that day. So next time you see me, take a look at my shoes, maybe even compliment them because chances are they will tell you a lot about me before I even open my mouth.
