Paige Prier

Atlanta, Georgia, United States

Moving to Florida to begin her formal artistic training, Paige studied first under Gene Barber at the Beaches Gallery in Jacksonville Beach before earning her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts at the University of North Florida. To enable each work to take on a life of its own, Paige focused her collegiate work on developing “technique to burn.” Paige’s collegiate emphasis in Design, Anatomy, and the formal Philosophy of Aesthetics manifests in her art through natural visual flows and varied, nuanced composition.

Paige’s most recent work focuses on employing traditional media to develop a personal mythology reflecting themes of relationships, figurative archetypes, and narrative structure. Her artistic, life experiences, and emotional influences each manifest as new figures in an ever-expanding cast of characters; rather than seeing evidence of her life directly in choices of medium, color, or theme, one sees instead seemingly unrelated figures such as the inimitable Martin Farthingsworth and the punctilious Mr. Peep Peep.
