Hi, I’m Paige. I live in Portland, OR and am the Recruitment & Outreach Manager for Family of Friends Mentoring, a youth mentoring non-profit based in Gresham, OR.
I first joined Family of Friends in fall 2015 as a mentor to Marwa, who was just 6 years old at the time. Marwa is now 10 years old, and her and I maintain a very close friendship. That being said, I was absolutely thrilled to join the Family of Friends team as a staff member in Dec. 2019.
We are currently hosting a 'Home, But Not Alone: Livestream Concert Fundraiser' on May 27th to benefit the kids in our organization. Our goal is to raise $10,000 and we've already raised $6,000 through sponsorships and donations. "Tickets" to watch the show on our Facebook page are a suggested $20 donation, but any amount helps!
You can purchase raffle tickets to be entered to win gift cards and make additional donations that will be matched dollar for dollar by the Collins Foundation.
All the money raised will go towards keeping our staff and programming stable so our kids stay well-supported during this time! Relationships aren't cancelled and It's more important than ever that kids have a strong mentoring relationship to help them through this crisis.
