I have always been passionate about writing and helping people. When searching for jobs, I look for positions that will allow me to combine those passions. So far I have been able to combine the two as a newspaper reporter and as a public relations practitioner for two not-for-profit organizations.
What I have found in my years of working with people is that we are all very similar. We all want to be accepted unconditionally, appreciated, recognized, respected, desired, valued, approved of, and complimented. As a communicator, it is vital that I keep these factors in mind when interacting with others.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in journalism from Indiana University. I received my Master's of Arts degree in public relations management from IUPUI in December of 2012.
Today, I am combining my passions as a freelance writer and communications consultant. I would love to help you put your passions into words. Please contact me if I can help you communicate your message.
I currently devote much of my free time to serving my community. The Columbus Chamber of Commerce named me one of the 2009, 20 people under the age of 40 making a difference in Columbus, “20 Under 40.”
I was the narrator of "Our Town: Columbus," a documentary about Columbus, Indiana.
