Sachin Palewar
Project Manager, Web Developer, and Consultant in Nagpur, India
Founder of a Wordpress/WooCommerce Agency. Past experience of founding and running a mobile app development agency.
I started programming when I was in last year of my school in year 1997. I moved to Nagpur, India in 1998 to do graduation and computer courses. However instead of seriously pursuing graduation I spent most of my time learning computers and what can I do with them. I spent countless hours surfing web in then only cyber-cafe in the city.
I didn’t have a bike or computer of my own and used to spend all my pocket money in cybercafé, I learned to create websites on my own, became friends with programmers around the world and shared code samples with them.
A couple of years down the line I took job as a ‘cybercafé attendant’ and worked for free as I could surf for free and save on my huge surfing bills. After that I joined a company where I was webmaster for one of the first web portals of Nagpur city.
I left job after a few months and started working as a freelance software developer for local clients. In year 2004, I got my first project from a client from USA, a few months later I joined hands with my 2 close friends and formed our company 'Palewar Techno Solutions'. We won a cash prize of $15000 from Intel for our 'Unit Converter' App in year 2011. We now develop apps for all major mobile platforms such as iOS, Android and Windows Phone. Our major clients are from Australia and USA.
I ran the company for 11 yrs. till Oct 2014 and then decided to step away and try out something else.
I took care of my health, started cycling a lot, even started a bicycle tourism company and organised multiple supported bike-tours in Central India, which were loved by everyone who attended. All this while I kept doing some freelance software consulting and working remotely as Project Managers for several IT teams from my city as well as abroad.
In 2020, I helped someone I knew with their e-commerce website, when it crashed during peak traffic and impressed with this I was asked to handle all their websites and also handle customer support for those websites, which led to the agency I run now.
